My Apothecary of Services | Conscious Connected Breathwork

Conscious Connected Breathing (C.C.B.) is by far one of the most transformative practices of Kriya Yoga I have experienced. The profound transformation that can occur for any individual is unbelievable.

The roots of this technique come from Babaji the Kriya Yoga Guru who guided Lahiri Mahasaya, Sri Yukteswar Giri, Paramahansa Yogananda and Mataji. Kriya Yoga means, 'Awareness of the Unification of the Energies' these practices are meant to bring a unification of mind, body and energies. These practices of Kriya Yoga, are a combination of Meditation on the energies, using breathwork (pranayama), hand gestures (mudras) and chanting (mantra).

Conscious Connected Breathwork is one of the breathing practices transmuted from Babaji to Lenard Orr the founder of C.C.B., through that became Rebirthing Breathwork.

Conscious Connected Breathing has been one of the most beneficial healing modalities I have ever found. If you are wondering what CCB is, CCB is a therapeutic form of Breathwork/Pranayama. Pranayama in my perspective has been a misinterpreted word that usually is translated as an energy control practice - through my translation and experience is more an energy regulation practice.

Allowing yourself to deepen into this practice, the breath can expand your consciousness, open your heart, and deepen in present moment awareness. As it helps to balance and regulate the systems in the body, freedom and love can naturally flow. These practices are meant to bring people into a deeper state of meditation. Leading them to transcendental experiences, transcendental meaning to become the witnesser of the body and mind.

Furthermore, the physical benefits are countless, from helping the lymphatic fluid to circulate, aiding in the reconnection to the reproductive organs, strengthening and toning the muscular structure, calming the nervous system, realigning and recalibrating the digestive tract. Specifically, with healing the gut biome and gut lining of the intestines and stomach.

As well the endocrine system helps to secrete healthy hormones through all the glands - from the prostate up to the pineal gland. Also, helping the body to feel more pleasure, bliss & equanimity.

Conscious Connected Breathing is a three-part breath, breathing in through the belly, ribs and chest. Connecting without a pause in between breaths, as I breathe in and reach the peak of the inhale without pausing I release and exhale. At the base of the breath without pausing I then inhale. There can be a lot to learn from the breath pattern that one carries throughout life.

For example, if there is a pause or control pattern before inhaling it is usually a sign that one can have trouble receiving their life force, energy and love. If there is a pause at the peak of the breath before exhaling it is a sign that people have trouble letting go, and releasing. As well as controlling the exhale on the way down, instead of letting the breath drop out with easefulness.

If you can be aware of your breath patterns in your daily life and as you lay down for your daily practice. Take a moment and witness the control patterns that you hold, from that place you can see how you react to the world around you. Then you can choose to correct this pattern and live a healthier and happier life.
